At SurePoint IT Solutions, we not only care for your computers, we care equally about animals and the fair treatment of them.
Caring For Carter
That is why SurePoint IT Solutions recently sponsored the 1st Annual Caring For Carter Spin-a-thon, a local fundraiser geared to raise money for the caring of animals at the Charles Smithgall Humane Society, located in Sautee Nacoochee, GA between Cleveland and Helen.
With the help of close to 40 participants, 8 sponsors, and multiple anonymous donations, we have raised over $1,300.00 for the animal shelter with the Caring for Carter fundraiser.
A huge thank you goes out to Vanessa Lauterwasser and Angela Matthews for coordinating Caring For Carter, as well as the White County YMCA in Cleveland, GA who hosted it.
Carters Story
Carter is a pup who was left at the shelter in the middle of the night. No one knows who brought him, but he was severely injured with a broken mandible. He was such a happy boy, but was unable to chew food. The shelter paid for the surgery to fix his bones so that he could have a chance at a good life. During Carter’s hospital stay, one of the vet techs fell in love with him and adopted him. Carter is in a good home and is a rock star to all of his fans in Cleveland, Georgia.
But Carter’s story’s one of many more just like it. That is why we are not only interested in providing care for injured or abused animals, but also have joined forces with Rescue Racing in promoting awareness about spaying and neutering. The best situation we can hope for is that we prevent future instances of animal cruelty and neglect.
